Classic Rum Baba / Blackberry Compote / Spiced Cream
The classic cake with a Autumn twist. Rum baba is a traditional French cake, made with yeast and soaked in liquor, resulting in a moist yet spongy cake. In this class you will learn how to make a bigger version of a rum baba, soaked in a dark rum syrup and topped with spiced whipped cream and a blackberry compote. Everything will be made by you from scratch.
- You will be using a KitchenAid stand mixer in this class
- You will have the option to assemble the whole cake in class, or pack away the compote, whipped cream and cake separately for you to assemble just before you serve the cake
